It was a gathering of who-is-who at the burial of our 1st National President, Alh. Olawoore Adeniji who died on Friday, 22 September, 2017 at 12.15pm and was buried the same day.

LATE ALH. OLAWOORE ADENIJI PIONEER NATIONAL PRESIDENT.

Alh. Olawoore Adeniji, a member of the 2nd Set got admitted to Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan in 1959 and graduated in 1964. He worked in the service of the Oyo State Government and retired as the Deputy Accountant-General in the year 2000 having put in the required 35 years in service.

All wool as he was popularly called along with other eminent old boys in 1968 formed what we today know as Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association and served as the first and the longest serving National President. History has it on record that Chief Ayo Labiyi was instrumental to the formation of the association then when the School was 10 years old.

Today we have lost our pioneer National President. We thank God for a life well spent by him. May his soul rest in peace said the National President, Prof. Olufemi Omisore who was represented by the National Secretary, Comrade Wale Adeoye.

Among the dignitaries that witnessed the burial rites were the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Col. Bola Ogunsanwo (rtd.) who led other old boys, National President, Prof. Olufemi Omisore who was represented by the National General Secretary, Comrade Wale Adeoye, National PRO, Moses Oladele, Fmr. Ibadan Branch Chairmen, Alh. Kola Adetona and Alh. Kola Animasaun, Alh. Amidu Adedokun, Mr. Adewolu, Fmr. Permanent Secretary, TESCOM, Mr. Jelili Busari, Mr. Tunji Ladapo and other distinguished old boys.
