As part of the efforts of the current administration of Prof. Chief Olufemi Omisore, FNITP, to put up a welfare scheme for members of the association, the National Executive Council has approved the take-off of a Comprehensive Insurance Package for members of the Lagelu Grammar School Old Boys Association.

The insurance policy which is to be anchored by Capital Express Assurance Ltd is to address some of the recorded deaths among some members of the association. The scheme encompasses the following:

1. GROUP LIFE/WELFARE ASSURANCE SCHEME
2. DEPOSIT ADMINISTRATIVE/ INVESTMENT SCHEME
3. HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME

NEC in its wisdom considered it very germane to urgently establish a National Insurance Scheme for our members. According to the National President, Prof. Olufemi Omisore, “death is inevitable and we can’t query God, but we must plan for any eventuality”.

According to a release from the National Secretary, Comrade Wale Adeoye, “Arrangements are to be made with set leaders in due course. We have agreed to start the scheme with 500 members at a yearly premium of Ten Thousand Naira (10,000) per member.”

It would be recalled that we recently lost four Lagelites between March 6, 2017 till date.
